Bled Weather … and Things You Should Know About It
You should know that the Bled weather can be very tricky lately. Here you usually find warm summers and cold winters, but in 2006 it was almost vice versa at Lake Bled. Usually the summers at Lake Bled are hot and winters are cold. The normal average summer temperature is about 20°C or 68°F and in winter it is about 0°C or 32°F. The maximum measured at Lake Bled has been about 37°C or 98°F and minimum has been -26°C or -14°F
This kind of weather allows ice-skating in winter on Bled Lake (you just have to try how it is ice-skating around the island) and swimming in it in the summer. The lake can warm, on hot August days, even up to 24°C or 75°F.
In spring and autumn it is normal to find lots of rain in this parts of Slovenia, but there are also many sunny days in this time at the glacier basin. This information is true in general, but in the last years there have been some minor changes in the Bled weather. Last year we had a cold summer with temperatures averaging about 10°C or 50°F and a warm autumn, with temperatures about 15°C or 59°F, which was very unusual for Bled Lake. In the summer, in the evenings we were walking around the lake with coats and than later in the autumn, we were chilling at the local cafeterias and drinking cold cocktails.
