The Kocevska region and its tourist destinations

The Kocevska region is settled with the places of: Velike Lašče, Dobrepolje Gradec, Ribnica, Kočevje and Bela Krajina.

The region is located eastwards from Inner Carniola and west from Ljubljana. The region is known for the Kočevje virgin forest (Kočevski Rog) and also for the coldest village in Slovenia.

In the past it was occupied by the Germans. And there were several important battles in this area. Many innocent people died for the battles in the Second World War. Here are many graves and also a lot of unknown places, where the German shoot soldiers one by one and dig them under the soil.
