Logatec Castles are very famous

Logatec Castles

The motorway and railway line are set into the east slope. On the west slope along the old Ljubljana-Koper main road lies the village of Planina.

On a hill near the entrance to the Planina cave is Mali grad (Small Castle), once owned by the Raubar family, and a kilometer lower along the Unica are the ruins of the once magnificent early baroque Hasberg Castle, which was burned down in World War II.

Above the castle are the ruins of the old castle. In the past these castles guarded the important passage to the Postojna Gate.

A lovely view of the polje opens up from the old winding road as it rises uphill from Planina across Kačje ride towards Postojna.

So this were the two important castles located in Logatec. Next up... Find it out for yourself... Hope you will enjoy.
